Talk about a horror dream team! Under the Dome already sounded pretty cool but this latest development could really push it over the top for King fans looking for a real return to form.
Variety reports that Steven Spielberg and Stephen King are joining forces to develop a limited series based on King's just-released supernatural thriller "Under the Dome." DreamWorks TV has optioned the book and is looking to set it up as an event series for cable TV.
DreamWorks is starting to meet with writers for the project. The plan is to set a writer before shopping the skein to prospective buyers.

I m only about 100 pages into Stephen King s latest 1000+ page novel Under the Dome , but I do feel comfortable in saying that my first impression is that of 'so far, so good.' Stephen King and Steven Spielberg are teaming up once again to bring King's new novel to the small screen, Under the Dome. DreamWorks TV has optioned the book and is looking to set it up as an event series, likely for cable. There have been some reports online that the show was going to be on HBO but they may have fallen through if the trades are correct.
Under the Dome revolves around the drama that unfolds after an invisible force field suddenly descends on a small vacation town in Maine. As the locals fight for their survival, the town descends into warring factions led by enigmatic characters.
